Technology Peer Review - Overview

The I.S.B.E. and the Learning Technology Centers have revised the process for reviewing Technology Plans for this year. 

All plans will be written and submitted online via the http://iirc.niu.edu website.  ISBE will then inform the Area Learning Technology Center Directors who will assign the plans to a team of  trained Peer Reviewers who will utilize the newly revised E-Plan Guide to evaluate and give feedback to the districts in a timely manner.

In Area One (Lake, Kane, DuPage, Suburban Cook, Will, Kendall and Grundy Counties)  the plans will be reviewed face to face at a designated LTC location.

Peer Review Training, as well as, the Peer Review sessions are be provided and organized by the Area One LTC directors listed below.

Peer Review 2008

  • Peer Review Training Presentation Peer Review training was held on February 22 and March 18, 2008 for all of Area One.
  • E-Plan Guide- This document will provide the rubric for Peer Reviewers to evaluate the Technology Plan.
  • Peer Review Feedback Form - This document is the checklist that reviewers will use as they assess plans. It will allow for reviewers to check off the major sections of the plan, as well as provide feedback comments to districts as to what might be deficient in any particular area of the plan.
  • Peer Reviewers Code of Conduct Form - Each Peer Reviewer will agree to an ethical code of conduct in participating in this process. Please read. Reviewers will sign on day of review.
